A RECRUITMENT video aimed at attracting staff to work at Bronglais Hospital has been produced by Hywel Dda Health Board.
The Cambrian News reported “The board, which has been coming up with new recruitment strategies to find ways to attract applicants to jobs, released the video as part of an overall campaign highlighting the health board’s commitment to colorectal cancer services and a 24-hour A&E department and the development of services at Bronglais.
The two-minute video shows off all the best aspects of living and working in the Aberystwyth area and promotes the close-knit nature of working at Bronglais Hospital.
As well as the video, which was produced by Aberystwyth-based production company AMP Media and can be viewed below, the campaign includes a mid Wales recruitment brochure and also links to job adverts for specialist colorectal surgeons, a general surgeon with laparoscopic skills, five consultant posts in medical specialties, middle grade and junior doctor posts and physician associates.
Dr Phil Jones, consultant stroke physician and clinical hospital director, said: “Bronglais hospital is the focus of a recruitment campaign for Hywel Dda health board with the aim of attracting high quality, dedicated clinicians from all backgrounds to our unit providing healthcare to the population of mid Wales.
“We will be looking for physicians and surgeons to complement our services and to reprovide the excellent elective colorectal surgical services we have been able to offer our patients in the past. Together with nursing and therapy colleagues we look forward to strengthening healthcare in mid Wales.”
A health board spokesperson added: “Bronglais District General Hospital is a strategically important provider of 24/7/365 services to the residents of Ceredigion, Powys and Gwynedd in addition to providing services to large student and tourist populations.
The recruitment campaign also highlights the investment into Bronglais Hospital with the development of theatres, maternity, laboratory and emergency development facilities.
The health board spokesperson added: “This recruitment campaign aims to attract ambitious quality applicants for consultant posts in medical and surgical specialties who would value joining the team to work in such an environment.
“The Bronglais team which is clinically led, have been innovative in their ambitions for recruitment and as such are also recruiting to middle grade and junior medical posts, advanced nursing roles, advanced clinical practitioners and physician associates” here.
